چکیده
This study aims to investigate the effect of alkalization and chemical coupling methods on surface adsorption properties waste cotton cotton/polyester yarns. The simple cheap alkali treatment was performed using 10% 18% NaOH solution, while method involved combining yarns fly ash, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose alginate as binders. Morphological characteristics unmodified modified were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, assessed removal lead cadmium ions from aqueous solution. It found that modification with solution positively affected only yarns, increasing efficiency up 75%. On other hand, ash improves both, in removing cellulose, a binder. Using method, effective adsorbents are obtained starting yarn, which gives it added value, amount non-degradable material can be reduced criteria cleaner environment circular economy met.

Removal of Heavy Metals from Waste Water Using Water Hyacinth
-Water pollution has become one of the most serious problems of today’s civilization. In the last few years considerable amount of research has been done on the potential of aquatic macrophytes for pollutant removal or even as bio-indicators for heavy metals in aquatic ecosystems. Water hyacinth is one of the aquatic plant species successfully used for wastewater treatment. It is very efficient...
متن کاملRemoval of heavy metals from waste water using different biosorbents
The discharge of waste water containing heavy metals like Cr, Cd, Cu from tanneries, electroplating units, metal processing industry etc is the major cause for metal pollution which in turn causes adverse effects in the environment. The conventional methods available for removal of heavy metal are costly and also produce some toxic sludge. This has lead to the invention of new technology like b...
متن کاملSurface Modification and Application of Mordenite for the Removal of Metals as Oxoanions from Waste Water
In this article, the sorption process of Cr, As and V as oxoanions using modified mordenite zeolite as sorbent has been experimentally estimated. The sample of mordenite zeolite was synthesized and modified and batch method was employed for analysis. Parameters such as sorbent dose, concentration of metal oxoanions in solution ranging from 50 to 5 μg/l and effect of contact time were studied. E...
متن کاملComparative Study of Defluoridation from Water using Waste Materials as Adsorbents – A Review
Fluoride is one of the most abundant constituents occurring in the groundwater in many parts of the world, posing a potential threat to human health. The permissible limit of fluoride concentration in drinking water is 1.5mg/L according to WHO guidelines. In India, 25 million people in 19 states and union territories have already been affected and another 66 million are at risk, including 6 mil...
متن کاملNatural Zeolites Application as Sustainable Adsorbent for Heavy Metals Removal from Drinking Water
Background: There are great resources of natural zeolite in Iran. Zeolite, an inorganic ion-exchanger, may be used as a suitable technical-economical solution for water treatment in many regions of Iran. In this study, the characterization of natural zeolite natrolite and the feasibility of removing hardness, cations, and anions were investigated. Methods: First, zeolite composition and type...
